Surround yourself in nature, sweat it out in the local saunas and discover presence in Pemberton.

  • Depart Perth (the earlier the better)
  • Visit Coffee Joy on your way through Boyanup. Operated and owned by locals, Coffee Joy has rapidly grown to a well known coffee stop along the busy South Western Highway. Award winning coffee and your pick of the raw vegan treats, this is a must stop on your way to Pemberton.
  • If you’re into your essential oils and herbal products, there’s a shop in Balingup you have to visit. Tinderbox is a small, earthy business based on herbalism. If you visit health shops, you’ll recognise their signature blue packaging and can’t miss their bright blue store on the main highway.
  • For a no-fuss dinner, a final stop at Hound & Hunter Fine Foods in Manjimup will ensure you relax into your Pemberton stay with ease. They make their own terrine and pate, and you can even pre-order Lake Janis Grassfed Jersey Beef from a biological and regenerative Pemberton farm.
  • Arrive Pemberton and check into your accommodation or campsite. We highly recommend Serenity House Pemberton for your three night stay, their self contained options sit right on the edge of the forest, are a close walk to town and feel like a home away from home.
  • Head to Just Lofti on the main strip for an amazing coffee and delicious breakfast.
  • Give yourself ten minutes to drive up the road to Pump Hill Farm for the 8.30am Hay Ride. Feed the animals, cuddle a Guinea Pig and get some mud on your boots for a truly grounding farmhand experience. It’s only $5 per person and something really special for the kids.
  • Meet Gwen at the Valley & Spa Springs for a restorative yoga session, meditation or sound healing. The space overlooks the countryside and is fitted out with a spa and sauna, if you’ve got some time to soak and sweat.
  • Start the day at sunrise and take Karri Forest Explorer Drive out to Big Brook Dam
  • Take a morning dip at the sandy beach (second carpark) or follow the dams shoreline around the 4km bush walking trail. If you have time, do both!
  • In the afternoon head out to Mountford Winery for a tasting of sustainably farmed wines. Family owned and operated, their award-winning cellar door offers a fantastic tasting of their organic wines.
  • Settle into your accommodation at night, and don’t forget to sit out under the stars and take awe at the universe.
