WA Wellness launches, showcasing Western Australia’s booming Wellness Scene

Wellness Tourism WA

Western Australia’s diverse and thriving wellness community has a new home with the launch of WA Wellness, an online directory designed to connect locals and tourists alike with the state’s best spas, retreats, studios, practitioners, and holistic experiences.

Founded by Destination Wellbeing, a specialist consultancy in wellness tourism, WA Wellness is a first-of-its-kind platform dedicated solely to wellness in WA. The directory offers a central, trusted source for discovering everything from day spas and yoga studios to cultural healing, mindfulness retreats, and nature-based experiences.

The launch comes at a time when demand for wellness travel and experiences is surging. According to the Global Wellness Institute, Australia’s wellness economy is valued at USD $84.9 billion (AUD $128.8 billion), with 13.7 million domestic wellness trips taken annually. Short breaks and wellness escapes are particularly high on travellers’ agendas as busy lifestyles, digital fatigue, and rising burnout drive the need to reset, reconnect, and recharge.

WA Wellness goes beyond listings, curating do-it-yourself four-day wellness escape itineraries across Western Australia to inspire locals and visitors to plan restorative breaks in regional and city destinations alike.

Founder Lisa Spencer said the directory would benefit the industry and visitors, who are increasingly searching for bespoke, unique and local experiences.

“There are so many incredible experiences on offer in the community – the platform will give users that feeling of having their own local in their corner, connecting them with the best on offer, and ensuring every experience they have is time well invested in their own care journey.”

Spencer added that the launch is also about creating visibility for businesses of all sizes. “WA Wellness was created to shine a light on the incredible practitioners and experiences we have across our state. Whether it’s a coastal yoga studio, a nature-based retreat in the South West, or an Aboriginal cultural experience on Country, we want people to see WA as a world-class wellness destination.”

How to get listed

The directory is free for consumers to use, but wellness businesses can join by creating a listing on the site. Businesses can choose from three tiers;  Grounded, Aligned, and Radiant, to match their needs and visibility goals.

  • Grounded offers an affordable way for small businesses and solo practitioners to establish a presence and be discovered.

  • Aligned provides additional features to showcase services, imagery, and special offers.

  • Radiant is designed for those who want maximum exposure with premium placement, SEO optimisation, and promotional opportunities across WA Wellness channels.

Every listing is searchable by category and location, making it easy for users to find exactly what they’re looking for; from saunas in the city to retreats in the Kimberley.

Why get listed

Being listed on WA Wellness is more than advertising – it’s joining a collective movement to position WA as a leading wellness destination. The platform not only drives traffic and bookings, but also connects businesses with a growing audience of wellness-conscious locals and travellers.

In addition, featured businesses may be included in curated blogs, itineraries, and social media promotions, giving them even greater reach.
