Chestnut Brae Farm Stay – Carlotta (Nannup), WA
Chestnut Brae is an award-winning, 70-acre sweet chestnut farm offering a peaceful, nature-immersed stay in the rolling hills of Carlotta, just south of Nannup. This regenerative farm is home to more than a thousand mature chestnut trees, heritage gardens, friendly farm animals and a beautifully restored cottage that invites guests to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with the rhythms of the land.
The original farmhouse, Chestnut Cottage, combines rustic charm with everyday comfort. With two queen bedrooms, a bunk room, a cosy wood fire, full kitchen, spa bath and an upstairs balcony overlooking the orchards, it’s a place made for long exhale moments — morning light through the trees, quiet cups of tea, stargazing, and unhurried conversations. Everything about the stay encourages you to switch off and lean into a simpler pace.
The property itself is the heart of the experience. Guests can wander through the chestnut groves, meet the farm animals, explore garden paths, or simply sit among the trees and soak in the serenity. Seasonal produce, farm tours, chestnut picking and a farm shop offering handmade chestnut products add to the sense of connection with place. Children can roam freely, adults can unwind, and everyone benefits from the grounding presence of nature, fresh air and space.
What makes Chestnut Brae a nourishing wellness stay is its atmosphere of genuine quiet and nourishment. There are no schedules to keep, no noise, no rush. Only the gentle invitation to slow down. Surrounded by forest, birdsong and regenerative farmland, it offers the kind of deep rest and mental reset that only nature can provide. It’s a stay that feels good for you and good for the earth.
